Venomfangx Gone?

Venomfangx has just released a short video about death threats his family has received. His website has also gone down. He's blamed atheists for threats in the past so it's odd he's blaming Muslims this time. I don't remember him ever directly attacking Muslims in his videos:

As much as I'd like to see his videos and 'ministry' disappear (and maybe he get some mental help) I certainly couldn't support crazy death threats. But, it makes me wonder, why would Muslims pick on him? Is he trying to find someone to blame for his parents yanking the website? Always something weird going on with Venomfangx...

He did attack Muslims in his earlier videos. He had a few videos of these really graphic depictions of the extremeists and used it as "evidence that Islam is Satan's religion". They were pretty graphic.
I'm not sure, but I think this is the reason why he couldn't be a youtube partner. I know his account was suspended around the time these videos went up, and I'm willing to bet that some Muslims were pretty ticked (rightfully so) that he used the small portion of extremist nutjobs to represent all of Islam.
It's also worth noting that this message in and of itself is a jab at Muslims. The mere fact that he credits these threats to Muslims is, in a way, a jab at their faith, whether or not the culpris are of Islamic faith. I truly believe that he is trying to antagonize them as he goes down, presenting the situation as "death threats are coming from Muslims, see how evil they are". Although Shawn never said this, I think that was his intention.

http://podblack.com/?p=1390 - apparently his parents have had quite enough of what he's done and shut down his site. I suspect it was all a sympathy ploy, but with no evidence one way or another (and not particularly caring, really) - I applaud his parents for taking a firm step in what must have been quite a difficult time regardless.

*SOMTHING I FORGOT TO MENTION*
Shawn's obvious Islamaphobia is apparent in his 4th street preaching video, which is basically ten minuets of Shawn trying to riddicule Islam. This is video is avalible still on Venomfangxarchives

Thanks for the comments! I didn't watch many of his early videos and I think I only watched his first 'street preaching' video in its entirety. Mostly, I've only ever seen him trash non-Christians and atheists.

But, it is curious that he'd mention Muslims instead of just saying he had death threats.

Some may be already aware of this, but for those who don’t know, VFX was today forced to remove his YouTube account and delete his website. It would appear that this was done on legal advice following his more recent attempts, in videos he posted to YouTube, to secure cash donations to his “Ministry” via a PayPal bank account, that he did not register as a charity, as obligated under Canadian tax laws.

It seems that this has landed him in a considerable amount of trouble, not least with his parents, who have posted a message on his website, simply saying, “This site has been taken offline by the parents of VenomFangX, they don’t support/share his views and apologize if he has offended anyone. This site will be offline for good in 3 days.”

There are also suggestions floating around, not least because of a video posted to VFX’s YouTube account shortly before it was removed, that his family had received specific death threats from, quote, “Muslims”. In true VFX style he presents no proof of this—and although it can’t be ruled out as the reason he has been forced into retreat, it is interesting to note that inconsistencies in his accounting for how these occasionally large cash donations would be spent had troubled several YouTube users who reported their concerns to the Canadian authorities several weeks prior to VFX’s voluntary account deletion.

VFX also posted a series of videos recently in which he ridiculed Islamic students on camera for not being able to provide a reason for their belief that Jesus was an important Muslim prophet—despite that he himself had never once risen to the challenge to provide a single article of evidence to support his wildly inaccurate assertions on matters of basic scientific methodology—such as radiocarbon dating of fossils and the principal of maximum entropy.

I personally hope that, if there is any truth to his claim of death threats, that the authorities are able to protect him and his family. And that this will serve as a warning to him of what happens to people who are wilfully deceitful. Maybe one day he might learn to use his clear exuberance for his faith in a way which promotes understanding and critical thinking, rather than division and belligerent trading on fear. I rather suspect, however, this is asking too much of someone who once asserted that babies sick with cancer, lacked the right kind of faith in his particularly obscure interpretation of a 2000 year old book, plagiarised from Pagan astrology myths.

Venom got in really thick with the muslims. He has since taken down all those videos so most people dont realize that. He exposed some very scary things about there religion. Go look up walid shoebat for another who dare speak about muslims. You will learn that he also talks about having threats placed on him.

"You will learn that he also talks about having threats placed on him."

Do they use sticky tape, Postit Notes, or just staple the threats to the person?

I guess they just chuck threats at him until he gets bored of shaking them off, and so they remain placed on him.

I don't believe it for a minute. He's used the "Islamic terrorists are threatening my family" dodge before when things got tough for him. It gets him sympathy form his (equally xenophobic) target audience, and let's him slip off until the heat blows over.
