I keep hearing theists argue that there is a god because of design, or morality, or how it 'feels right'. From there, of course, they're happy to say how this god is a Christian, or Muslim, Jewish, etc (ya, ya, they're the same, I know).
However, I can't understand how ANY theist argument proves the existance of ONE god. Every one of their arguments could just as easily describe many gods (a sun-making god, a planet-making god, black hole god, etc.).
From now on, I think I'll start challenging theists with this:
Without using a holy book, give evidence that it's impossible for 2 or more gods to exist.

Before challenging believers, you ought to learn more about their belief systems.
For one, you seem to assume that all theists believe in one god. While most believers these days are followers of Abrahamic religions (Judaism, Christianity, Islam, etc.) which are monotheistic, I'd say most other theist religions are actually polytheistic and do have two or more gods.
Second, for monotheists god doesn't have a "religion" so it doesn't make sense to claim that "god is a Christian, or Muslim". It's the followers who are Christians and Muslims (and obviously disagree about the nature of "their" god) and to them it's just GOD. Interestingly the Bahá'í faith is monotheistic yet accepting of other (including polytheistic) religions.
Having said that, I don't disagree with your challenge if you point it at self-righteous monotheists. BTW, can you give evidence that "it's impossible for 2 or more gods to exist"?
I understand that there are monotheistic gods, my short post was about those who claim 1 god. In my opinion, claiming 1 god takes more proof or evidence than claiming multiple ones. Somehow, one must determine a single number answer.
My answer to my challenge is that there could be 1, more than 1, or none. I'm not sure which is correct. However, since there is little (if even that much) evidence for the first two options, probability suggests zero is the most likely answer and I take that as my default position until new information suggests otherwise.
Sorry, my first line should have said 'polytheistic gods'.
